BASIC's mission is to connect Boston-area investment professionals via ESG-focused educational, social, and networking activities. BASIC strives to achieve this mission primarily through facilitating a robust series of free events throughout the year. BASIC also provides an avenue for knowledge sharing and industry dialogue through its website and listserv. BASIC does not take political positions, lobby, or advocate specific investment strategies.
Affiliates
BASIC’s affiliates enable the backbone of our work - monthly events - through volunteering event space and meeting BASIC’s operating costs, like our website and event refreshments.
Blog
We welcome community members to submit blog posts on relevant industry developments, topics and innovative research. We also encourage members to publish event recaps.
Events
BASIC aims to host monthly educational and/or networking events for members. Annual events include winter and summer socials and an evening of speed networking.
Listserv
Join our listserv of more than 1,000 individuals interested in sustainable investing. We encourage members to post jobs, communicate events and share resources.
Research Grants
In 2019, BASIC provided two research grants to industry members. The program seeks to fund innovative research benefiting the BASIC community.
